چکیده
Mit GPRS, den Location Based Services und schliesslich auch mit UMTS nimmt die Komplexität der TK-Netze stark zu. Die Aufwände, solche Netze zu planen, zu administrieren und neue Dienste einzubringen, steigen dramatisch. Mit der Konsolidierung der Datenbanken im Netz kann ein erster Schritt getan werden, den Trend umzukehren und die Netze wieder zu vereinfachen. Darüber hinaus muss überlegt werden, ob nicht auch bei der Architektur der Netze grundlegend neue Prinzipien angedacht werden müssen, um der zunehmenden Vielfalt der Protokolle entgegenzuwirken.
